vision for state blogs preparing for 2020 Dem primaries

One of my visions for DPI Watch, aka Democratic Party of Illinois Watch, is to inspire other state level blogs/media outlets that give audiences a chance to see which progressive candidates are worth supporting and which races are worth following.

So, I want there to be copycat blogs around the United States, but particularly in states with early primaries.

April 28th is the next state primary: Maryland & Pennsylvania. Along the way there are runoffs for Arkansas & Mississippi (March 31) and Alabama (April 14).

I respect the work that Howie Klein & others do at Down With Tyranny. I also like Fernando Miguel Mercado's project E Pluribus Unum. They both provide endorsements in Congressional races, but I want there to be something more local that gets more into the issues and lets the audience make the call.

We need more political journalism, not louder versions of the same old shit.
